Katie Targett Adams

Hailed as ‘the next crossover music star’ (Scotsman, October 2004), Katie Targett-Adams is a leading singer/songwriter and solo Celtic harpist.

Katie’s contemporary interpretations of Scottish music and tradition, which blend her enchanting voice with the evocative sounds of the ancient Celtic harp (clarsach), have led to her award as Music and Culture Icon for Scotland, 2003.

She is a favourite among our Corporate clients for dinner dances / receptions and any other event for which Katie can play a wide repertoire of suitable tunes.

Within Scotland, Katie Targett-Adams performs her unique brand of contemporary and Celtic music in the most beautiful castles and aboard the celebrated Royal Yacht Britannia. On 9 October 2004, Katie performed at the opening of the Scottish Parliament building attended by Her Majesty the Queen.

With television appearances in Spain, Germany, USA, China and on the BBC, as well as BBC radio exposure, Katie Targett-Adams is at the forefront of popularising this sensuous Celtic instrument and introducing it to a mainstream audience.
