Marnie Boyd - Clarsach / Harpist

Marnie Boyd has performed since the age of five while growing up in California.

Marnie began her musical career with instruction in classical piano, adding vocal and harp studies by the age of thirteen. She then went on to study the harp at Indiana University where she earned degrees in Comparitive Literature and Anthropology. Marnie is currently pursuing her Masters in Music at the University of Edinburgh.

She can play a wide style of harp instruments, a full sized classical pedal harp, folk harp, clarsach and also has an electric Irish harp.

Marnie has played at wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, private and corporate parties, restaurants and hotels. Clients range from Hollywood celebrities to elegant hotels, and couples looking for the perfect music on their wedding day.

Her repertoire is varied ranging from Medieval and Renaissance, to Baroque, French Romantic, Modern, Celtic, Jewish and popular selections. She also has a repertoire of classical, contemporary and folk songs that she can sing while accompanying herself on the harp.
