Select Strings

Select Strings were established in 1999.  All of the quartet members are graduates of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and have performed with many of Britains leading orchestras including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of Scottish Opera and the orchestra of Scottish Ballet.

They have many years experience in performing at weddings; playing in churches and reception venues across the country, as well as many other private functions and corporate events.  Previous clients have included the BBC, HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and Scotland's First Minister - Jack McConnell.

You can request for the musicians to be dressed in all black, or you can have ladies in black and the gents in Dinner Jackets with bow ties, or you can request they all wear daytime clothing, such as suits, etc. You can however, be sure that Select Strings, as well as all of our acts are very well presented.

Select Strings can cater for any event, from background music to church hymns, from Mozart to Sinatra.  You name it, they can probably play it.
