Although Hireaband provides local entertainers all over the UK there's no denying our Scottish roots (you should see our glass recycling bin for instance.) Because of this, people outside Scotland often come to us looking for a ceilidh band. Our job has become much easier with our appointment as agents for The Barn Dance Band.
This excellent band consists of five fine musicians completely at home performing Scottish and Irish country dance and of course traditional English folk tunes. The band includes a "caller" whose duty is to explain and talk through the dances - so even if you're not familiar with a Gay Gordon's or a "Dashing White Sergeant" you'll soon be wheeching round the dance floor like a mad jock!
Based in Luton and accross the South East, The Barn Dance Band are ideal for weddings, private functions and of course Burns Nights or events with a Scottish, Irish or traditional theme. As they say in Scotland, "Gaun Yersel!"
