Strange Bru were absolutely superb! They kept everyone dancing, did a super fun ceilidh set and all my guests commented about how great the band were.
Hire A Band were brilliant to deal with as well, super helpful through covid cancellations and always very responsive to messages which was always reassuring.

From making the booking due to the performance on the night, the guys were consummate professionals. Great value for money and they really got the party rocking with a great variety of party songs (all delivered to a very high standard). I would not hesitate in recommending Strange Bru for any party, wedding or celebration.

If anyone is looking for a band we could honestly not recommend Strange Bru highly enough! They were amazing from booking right up until the end of our wedding. We were unsure of our first dance song (Afternoon Delight) they totally encouraged us to go for it and absolutely nailed the harmonies, it was so much fun! The band as a whole are fantastic, they covered everything from Amy Winehouse to Rappers Delight, their lead singer can literally sing anything. Absolutely fantastic!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the rest of the band for kindly playing at my party last night. It was an amazing night and everyone just loved the band. As always, trying to get the men out of the bar was a challenge and added to this it was the first time people had seen each other since before the long school summer holiday so loads of chat to catch up on. We had Strange Bru as our wedding band at Glenskirle Castle. They were amazing and did not disappoint. Every guest told us how great they were and we could see looking around the room everyone was having fun. The dance floor was never empty. Even my husband Ross who doesn't like dancing was up on the dance floor.

When booking we were looking for a band who had a relaxed approach to delivering our wedding entertainment while professionally delivering each song. We had booked through Hireaband and communication was excellent. We had emails a couple of months before and Strange Bru were in contact to ask about our first dance.

You guys were brilliant yesterday at Inglewood. From the initial booking, we knew we were in safe hands. You played our first dance song spot on, especially impressive as Metallica's "In My Life" isn't your typical wedding song. All our guests raved about how difficult it was to leave the dancefloor due to how well you read the room!

The service from Hireaband itself was fantastic. There was an initial error in our contract and Julie was really helpful in sorting it out. It was great to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone directly and get responses to emails within hours.

Anne and I had Strange Bru as the band for our wedding reception last night. Awesome performance from the guys who kept the everyone up on the dance floor from start to finish and even chucked in a couple of extra songs at the end of the night. Everyone at the wedding said they were great too and all had a fantastic time. Absolutely Amazing group of guys and I think that everyone should be booking them for their wedding as you’ll not find a better band anywhere.

Strange-Bru played our wedding on Saturday 8th September 2018 and were just OUTSTANDING! Everyone tells you your guests will remember two things about your wedding...the food and the music, so get that right...and we certainly did when we booked Strange-Bru! The guys were great to deal with in the run up to the big day, and on the night were absolutely spot on...the dancefloor was packed from beginning to end. Fantastic musicians, great voices, and just such brilliant fun! They did us a full band set, ceilidh section (even had the non-English-speaking guests Stripping The Willow like pros!) and a DJ set for our last hour. Can’t recommend them enough!!

It was a real pleasure having you guys to celebrate our day with us, and we’re genuinely touched that you appreciated the more personal vibe. Strange Bru was AMAZING!!! Very nice guys. Fun appearance and great performance. The guests, Chris, and I loved them. They arrived on time, set up, and performed Chris' favorite songs that he sent them. The guys learned our first dance song as was promised. Hire A Band wasn't pushy at all unlike some other agencies I contacted. Professional and easy to talk to. We are very much impressed with both the service agency and band.

Look no further than these guys if you are looking for a wedding band, or a band for an event. They are truly awesome!! They have a great music selection, they sound great, but more than that, they are a great edition to the all round entertainment of your wedding or event. The guys were absolutely fantastic. I cannot praise them highly enough. Right from the first contact to the last email thanking us for booking them (no thanks needed!), the guys were nothing short of professional and polite but also really friendly and seemed up for a laugh. We were over the moon with Strange Bru at our wedding reception! The guys were lovely, really friendly and so good at what they do. We'd seen them at a friend's wedding so had high expectations, and they didn't disappoint! The dance floor was full from start to finish, with a brilliant mix of older, newer and classic songs! We loved the ceilidh set, it went down so well, and they took requests in their stride! We couldn't have had a better night :)

Hireaband were really professional, Gaye was so helpful throughout the process and Del was great at getting back to us too - thanks so much for all your help!

Strange Bru were absolutely amazing at our wedding. They learned a song for us at the brides request that they had never played before and it was fantastic. We loved their fun energy and I don’t think the dance floor was empty when they were playing. We even had a ceilidh for around 15 minutes which was great fun and got everyone up dancing! They were all really friendly and I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Strange Bru were superb. They really got everyone dancing from the start of the evening (even the non-drinkers in the family were on the dancefloor by 8.30!!).
They did a great job with the first dance (though our dancing wasn't too hot :)) and a bit of the Gay Gordons which the overseas visitors loved.
They played some great tunes. Their lively performance really made a difference and magically they played some of our favourite songs. We couldn't stay off the dancefloor and lost count of number of guests who kept saying how great the band was
If you want a wedding band who delivers a great night - don't hesitate - book these guys :) Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Strange Bru were an amazing live band, they were kind enough to learn our first dance song and many of the people in attendance at the wedding, are still talking about them. Some of Louise's friends are actually recommending them for future weddings on the basis of what they heard that night. We couldn't have asked for more from the band, and were easily contacted after your initial handover to them. They are a nice group of guys, warm and friendly, we actually took time out after they finished playing as we felt they did an amazing job and we hope to see them in the future at 1 of their own gigs. Would highly recommend.
