Mumford & Sons Style Wedding Bands in the North West

Mumford-style wedding bands covering the whole of the North West

From Preston, Salford Quays, Lancaster, Windermere, Poulton-le-Fylde and Knutsford, the North West has a huge choice of venues and a busy calendar of barn and marquee weddings. The Mumford-style wedding bands on this page cover the whole region, and many play several dates a month within it.

Across Blackpool, Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester, the Mumford-style wedding bands listed here play barn and marquee weddings. Use the area links lower down if you'd like a list narrowed to one part of the North West.

Popular venues across the region include Wyresdale Park Wedding Barns, The Monastery Manchester, Ashton Memorial, Eden Barn, Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Nunsmere Hall. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we can usually say which acts have played there before.

Not every Mumford-style wedding band does the same job. Within this category you'll find folk-rock bands with banjo, fiddle, mandolin and stomp box, and knowing the feel you want for your wedding makes the choice much easier.

Hireaband has been booking live entertainment since 1999. Every band listed here covers the North West, and PA, lighting and travel are included in the quote you receive. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £1,000 to £3,000, depending on line-up, date and how long the act plays
  • Always included: PA, lighting and travel, in every quote
  • Acts travel to venues right across the North West
  • Summer Saturdays and December dates book up first
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Most acts perform two or three sets, with playlist music or a break in between. Share your running order when you enquire, including any special moments, and we'll build the quote around it.

Expect to pay from around £1,000 up to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up. The act, the date and your set times make the biggest difference. Every quote includes PA, lighting and travel, so nothing is added later.

Every act's page has video and audio of the performers who would actually play at your wedding, a full song list and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to judge the style before you commit.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

It's a folk-rock band built around acoustic instruments like banjo, mandolin, fiddle and acoustic guitar, with a driving beat from a kick drum or stomp box. They play folk anthems and folk-style versions of pop and rock hits.

Most can. Many bands offer an unplugged set for the drinks reception, often moving among guests, before their full evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting for the evening set, and acoustic sets need little or nothing. The full band needs floor space and power nearby, so check both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,000 for a smaller band to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the booking make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

It's one of the most popular choices. The acoustic instruments and foot-stomping energy suit barns, marquees and outdoor venues, and the sound works well in rooms where a louder band might struggle.

Yes. Most folk-rock bands play folk-style versions of pop, rock and chart hits alongside folk anthems, so there's something for every guest. Each act's song list shows exactly what they cover.

“The Cubs were incredible! Their communication before the wedding was brilliant and then the actual performance was more then we could of wished for! They performed our first dance song live which was so special to us and kept the crowd dancing all night! Thanks guys”

“I wanted to say a special and heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to you and the members of your band for providing a wonderful centre-piece for my special birthday celebration. You were all great and added to the fun and joy of the party. I thought you were excellent at everything you played and, most importantly, very easy to dance to! Thank you all so much. You have helped to create a wonderful memory that will be with me forever. With warmest good wishes from Elizabeth”
