Other Wedding Entertainment in Wales

Find ceremony and reception acts for your wedding in Wales

Finding the right wedding act is easier when you can see every option in one place. This page covers all of Wales, from Llandudno, Mumbles and Penarth, and every act listed travels to venues across the region for ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts.

Our listings for Wales take in Cardiff, North Wales and Swansea. Each of those areas has its own page too, which you'll find in the links further down, but the acts here will travel to any of them.

Popular venues across the region include Tyn Dwr Hall, Parc Le Breos House, Pencoed House Estate, Portmeirion, Sketty Hall and The Celtic Manor Resort. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we can usually say which acts have played there before.

Not every wedding act does the same job. Within this category you'll find solo singers, acoustic duos, pianists, classical guitarists, string quartets, close-up magicians and roaming musicians, and knowing the feel you want for your wedding makes the choice much easier.

We've been booking ceremony and reception acts since 1999, and every act on this page travels across Wales. Travel and any amplification are built into the quote, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

At a glance:

  • Most ceremony and reception acts cost between £300 and £1,500
  • Travel and any amplification are included in the price you're quoted
  • One page covering every area of Wales
  • Popular acts book up early for busy dates, so enquire soon
  • A 14-day change-of-mind refund comes with every booking

Most acts perform two or three sets, with playlist music or a break in between. Share your running order when you enquire, including any special moments, and we'll build the quote around it.

Most bookings fall between £300 and £1,500. The size of the line-up is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long the act plays. Travel and any amplification are included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay, wherever you are in Wales.

Every act's page has video and audio of the performers who would actually play at your wedding, a full song list and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to judge the style before you commit.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Everything around the main evening band: ceremony and drinks reception musicians such as solo singers, harpists, pianists, guitarists and string quartets, plus acoustic duos, roaming musicians and close-up magicians.

Many can, given enough notice — mention it when you enquire and the act will confirm whether they can add it to their repertoire for your day.

Harpists, pianists, guitarists and string quartets usually play acoustically in a ceremony room or church; singers and duos bring a small, discreet PA for larger rooms or outdoor spaces.

Yes — booking the same musician or ensemble for the ceremony, drinks and wedding breakfast is common, and usually works out better value than separate bookings.

Typically £300 to £1,500, depending on the act, how long they perform and the date — travel is always included in the quote.

Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday when the most popular acts go quickly.

“Tommy & Sons were absolutely fabulous. We loved their sets, and so did all our guests. They were genuinely lovely people, and some of our guests were able to get up and sing with them. This was brilliant! Couldn't be happier with our choice to hire Tommy & Sons; comms between hireaband, and the band were excellent and we hope to use them again in the future. Thank you!”

“The nojitos surpassed all our expectations from start to finish. The clips on Youtube do not do them justice, they managed to perform modern songs in a classic way, like watching Count Basie perform Taylor Swift! Not only will we be booking them again, we'll be passing their details to everyone we know that wants a top quality music set. The whole crowd loved every minute. Absolutely perfect”

“We booked this band for a charity event. From first contact they were very positive and understanding of the type of evening we wanted, and they delivered exactly as promised. They play a lovely mix of music and are obviously very talented musicians. They offer a sophisticated repertoire of swing era music and we would highly recommend them for this type of occasion. They are also a very nice group of people.”

“Thank you so much to Ian and the band for an absolutely amazing night last night for my daughter’s wedding! I had so many people asking the name of the band and saying how great they were! You really made it a special evening and got people up on the floor, enjoying themselves! Thanks again, and I’ll be recommending you to anyone looking for a party band.”

“Love Detroit Vintage Duo! Was so happy to find them for my wedding a couple of years ago, Paul was great to deal with and everybody commented on how good they were for weeks after. They sound authentic and always look like they are enjoying themselves whilst playing. Recently booked them again when I was helping my Dad organise a big 50th birthday and they were great!”

“Exceptionally talented pair. Had the pleasure of listening to them on the P&O Britannia and they helped us have a fantastic time, we were truly entertained. The vocals are beautifully on point and create a perfect atmosphere. Best of all is their choice of repertoire, so much variety and perfect to relax to; I even found myself singing along on several occasions! Thanks for some great music.”
