Overview
Tom Sanborn is a professional saxophonist with an honours degree in saxophone performance, bringing more than 20 years of experience performing across Scotland with wedding bands, jazz bands, pop acts, rock bands and tribute shows. He's known for genuinely reading the room and interacting with guests, with reviewers praising him for mirroring the crowd's energy and taking song requests on the spot.
Tom performs in two main styles: a relaxed, soulful set of classics like "Isn't She Lovely," "Superstition" and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," ideal for a drinks reception or ceremony, and a high-energy sax and DJ set built around Ibiza anthems, dance classics and disco hits that reliably fills the floor. We booked Tom for our wedding as we love a bit of sax. Little did we know what a great performer Tom is! Before the day he was great with communication, including being open to us adjusting his timings & even helping us pick our entrance song. On the day Tom really mirrored the guests energy & was interactive in such a great way. All our guests were loving song requests and so many people have said to us how great he was. He got people dancing and having fun at the drinks reception. If you’re even considering a saxophonist then Tom should be top of your list! Thanks again Tom for everything.
Tom was such a lovely guy. Very punctual and was in communication regularly. He even made it through the snow storm to get to the venue.
