Music Duos in Lancashire

Book a music duo in Lancashire

Two musicians can cover a surprising amount of ground. Across Lancashire, duos play everything from gentle ceremony music to lively party sets, which makes them a popular choice for weddings and celebrations where one act needs to cover most of the day.

Whether your wedding is near Preston, Blackburn and Burnley or further afield, the duos here cover the whole of Lancashire. Local venues include Mitton Hall, The Shireburn Arms and Browsholme Hall, and it's worth checking with your venue where the music or entertainment will be set up. Further down this page are more local venues, such as West Tower, Bartle Hall and Stanley House, with details of each.

Two musicians can do a surprising amount. An acoustic duo adds harmonies to a ceremony, a jazz duo gives a dinner a sense of occasion, and a party duo with backing tracks can fill a dance floor in a room where a full band wouldn't fit.

Since 1999, Hireaband has matched couples with live entertainment for their wedding day. The duos listed here all travel to Lancashire, and the instant quote button shows pricing and availability in a few seconds.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £450 to £1,400, depending on how long they perform and the date
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included
  • Ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast packages available from many acts
  • Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

For most receptions and dinners, yes. A duo comfortably fills a room of around 100 guests and needs only a small area to set up. For a large function room or a crowd that wants to dance all night, look for a party duo with a bigger PA, or consider a full band.

Prices usually start from around £450 and go up to £1,400 or so. A single daytime set sits at the lower end, while a duo covering the ceremony, drinks, meal and an evening set sits towards the upper end. Your quote shows the full price for your date, so you can compare acts on the same basis.

Every act's page has video and audio of the performer you would actually book, along with their repertoire and written reviews from couples who have booked them. It's the easiest way to check the style and the sound before you commit.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

It depends on the duo. Acoustic duos play stripped-back versions of well-known songs, jazz duos play standards and lounge music, and party duos play dance-floor hits, often with backing tracks.

Many can. A lot of duos offer packages covering the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and an evening set.

A party duo with a proper PA is, for most venues in Lancashire. For very large rooms, tell us the guest numbers and we'll suggest whether a duo or a bigger line-up suits better.

Not much. Around two by three metres and a nearby power socket is usually enough.

Typically £450 to £1,400, depending on the style, how long they play and the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most can, given enough notice. Mention it when you enquire.

“The duo were absolutely fantastic. They really made our wedding ceremony special and were even happy to be requested songs to prepare and perform for the day - one unusual request was for the congregation to sing a secular 'hymn' - in this case 'Stand by Me' - the duo performed it amazingly but also encouraged everyone to sing, which really lightened the atmosphere - exactly what we wanted. Our wedding guests were also really impressed - everyone kept saying how good they were.”

“"I just wanted to say a huge thanks for doing such a fantastic job for our wedding. Everyone has been telling me how much they enjoyed the music, and Nicki and I had such a great time.the dance floor was in use all night long, a tribute to your great playing and of course, your great singing"”

“Absolutely fantastic, very professional. A beautiful voice which was even better than the video. We booked them for 1 hr and to sing our first dance song. It is a memory that I will never forget. All the guests really enjoyed the music as they sang songs from all genres and did it extremely well. Very talented. We are very pleased that we booked them and could not have asked for more.”

“"Gavin, I was sitting with my son near to the set on Friday. We were not going to stay but then your music came on... We stayed for the full 3 sets. Just wanted to say - you were very slick, very professional - we had a really great evening. I will be doing something requiring music this spring or summer, so I will definitely contact you, cheers!"”

“Emily and David played at my 40th birthday party last Summer. Communication and planning before the party was very professional. We had so much fun on the night, they played a great range of covers and they really got the party going. They are both great singers and musicians and the atmosphere was fab. I would highly recommended, thank you so much!”

“Hi De La Duo, THANK YOU!!! The day feels like a bit of a blur if I'm honest but one of my clearest memories was walking down the aisle (rather quickly oops) and hearing you playing. It was beautiful. John and I have received so many compliments about you guys. you truly were a highlight of the day! All the best, Charlotte and John x”
