Smoother than Kojak's haircut and twice as cool, The Greenwich Village Stompers are London's finest jazz and swing ensemble.
The standard line up for the band is as a quintet (5 piece) but they can provide up to an eight piece band for extra jazziness.
The musicians that make up The Greenwich Village Stompers are among the best young talents in the country. Their energetic and characterful interpretations of 20's and 30's jazz and swing hits reflect the influences of their jazz heroes such as Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Benny Goodmand and of course Sir Duke himself, Duke Ellington.

Many thanks Irving for finding such a brilliant band for us. The music really livened up the hall and everyone enjoyed the music. Despite the weather and having to move the event indoors, the band sounded wonderful in the great hall at Trinity Hall. It was a very memorable evening.
