Pop & Rock Bands in Northumberland

Book a pop and rock band in Northumberland

Pop and rock is the broadest, most crowd-pleasing sound you can book. In Northumberland, bands playing rock classics, indie anthems and current pop are a favourite for office parties, weddings, festivals and celebrations, because there's something in the set for every age group.

Popular event venues in Northumberland include The Barn on the Bay, Healey Barn and Ellingham Hall, and our pop and rock bands play events across Alnwick, Morpeth and Bamburgh. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we'll check the band's set-up suits the space.

Pop and rock covers a lot of ground. Some bands lean towards classic rock and big guitar anthems, others towards indie and Britpop, and some are pure chart-pop party bands with mash-ups and medleys. A few minutes watching their videos will tell you which fits your crowd.

We've been booking live bands since 1999, and every pop and rock act on this page covers Northumberland. Travel is built into the quote, the band brings the PA and lights it needs, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,000 for a smaller line-up to £3,000 or more for a larger band, depending on date and set times
  • Line-ups from three and four-piece bands to six-piece bands with extra vocalists or keys
  • Two live sets plus a DJ playlist between and after sets as standard with most bands
  • Travel, PA and lighting are included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Check the room size and any sound limiter before you choose. Rock sets can be loud, so a band used to playing at a controlled volume — or one with electronic drums — is worth considering for smaller rooms or venues with strict limits.

Expect to pay from around £1,000 for a smaller line-up up to £3,000 or more for a larger band. Line-up size matters most, then the date and any extras such as an early acoustic set or a later finish. Every quote includes travel, so nothing is added later.

Every band's page has live video and audio of the musicians who would actually play, their full song list and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to check the energy and the sound before you commit.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

Expect rock classics from Queen, Bon Jovi and Fleetwood Mac, nineties Britpop and indie from Oasis and Blur, noughties anthems from The Killers and Kings of Leon, and current chart pop. Each band's page lists its full repertoire, and most will learn a first-dance or special request with enough notice.

Yes — it's one of the best choices for one. Most sets move through the decades, so older guests get the rock classics and younger guests get the recent hits, and there's always a run of songs everyone knows the words to.

Many can. If your venue has a sound limiter or a smaller room, look for a band that uses electronic drums or in-ear monitoring, and tell us about the limiter when you enquire so we can recommend acts that work within it.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA, lighting and usually a playlist for between sets. They'll need floor space for the line-up and power sockets nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,000 for a smaller line-up to £3,000 or more for a larger band. The number of musicians and the date make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Most play two 60-minute or three 40-minute sets during the evening, with a playlist between sets and after the band finishes. Many also offer an extra acoustic set or a later finish if you need it.

“Here at the Fox we threw a big party with Hot Piece of Brass as the main attraction. We knew it would be a great night, but we definitely didn't expect the huge turnout they brought with them. The dancefloor was packed all night and the band kept everyone going for hours. They were a pleasure to work with and a great band to get people in the party spirit!””

“So in turning 40 I decided I wanted a band which would play my type of music. Enter LA Heat. These guys were the real deal - amazing costumes, great lighting show, and an Almighty performance. The set list was just awesome and wow can that singer sing?!They had amazing on stage chemistry and made sure everyone was on their feet all night. I honestly can't sing their praises enough!”

“Wow! What a party! The Rattlers made it so special. They managed to create a great set-list that had everyone dancing, foot tapping, and smiling. So many people came up to me and others in the family to say how great they were. The lighting rig was great too, it created a really good atmosphere even during the DJ set. Overall, I'm really pleased and would definitely book again!”

“I have put on quite a few events of this kind with different acts and may I say that you demonstrated exemplary standards of management and performance when working together on this occasion. This consistency and reliability has made my job of putting on the show a whole lot easier. As well as the fantastic show , you were all highly presentable and courteous and you were able to accommodate my requests efficiently.”

“Mixtape were the perfect act for our NYE party!
Totally professional with banger after banger.
The music really made for some happy positive vibes the best way to begin 2019.
We did however have one complaint... the dance floor was so full they couldn't get through to dance at the front! (I mean that's the sort of complaint I like #floorfillers) would 100% recommend and hope they come back soon!”

“Baby Ace were absolutely incredible. From start to finish they were professional and engaging. Every single person was up dancing. Huge range of different songs, and they really stood out. Every guest said how great they were and have asked for contact details. They went above and beyond, helping my nephew to also enjoy a guest appearance. If you are unsure, just go ahead and hire them, they absolutely made our night.”
