Overview
Switch are an experienced Scottish wedding and party duo, made up of Alex and Jimmy, bringing years of live performance experience and real musical chemistns to weddings, anniversaries and private parties across Scotland. They cover decades of floor-fillers, from Ed Sheeran and George Ezra through to Motown, Oasis and classic Scottish favourites like "Loch Lomond" and "500 Miles," with a ceilidh set available on request.
As a duo, Switch offer a genuinely affordable option without compromising on quality — ideal for couples and hosts working to a tighter budget who still want a full night of live music and great harmonies. They're known for reading a room and keeping guests of every age on the dance floor, with reviews praising them for suiting "all ages" and keeping the floor "jumping all night long."
A typical performance runs from 8pm to midnight with a 30-minute break, and Switch provide their own PA system, stage lighting, and a complimentary DJ playlist for whenever they're not playing live — they can also work with sound limiters where a venue requires it. Switch are available exclusively through Hireaband, for weddings and private events.

We were looking for a band to play at our mother and father’s 65th wedding anniversary. We are based in Australia but we found the Hire A Band website and that made it so easy. We were promptly given a great variety of bands to choose from and the band we selected, Switch Duo, were absolutely brilliant and perfect for our event. Communication prior, during and after with the band was excellent and the lads were very flexible to fit in with the running of the night. They played a great selection of songs that entertained everyone and we have had nothing but great feedback from all that were there. We would highly recommend Switch Duo for any function or party.
