The House of Lairds

House of Lairds were absolutey fantastic. They led us through the ceilidh dance moves and knew when to play modern tunes to give people a break from ceilidh dancing. They were super friendly and incredibly musically talented - every one of our guests was astounded. We will absolutely book them again in the future - thank you so much all!

The band were brilliant, explained to them the situation and they adapted brilliantly. They were a fantastic band live, kept everyone going and when the guests were tired, they did a small acoustic set in the main bar area to keep the guests entertained. Highly recommend them.

The band were excellent on the night. All outlets guests loved them. We requested a couple of songs we really wanted and they happily obliged. We also had a friend sing our first dance and Dave was brilliant in facilitating this. I would definitely recommend House of Lairds as a wedding band!

I just wanted to take a moment and send you a note of thanks for the performance that House of Lairds turned in on July 1st at our daughter's wedding. We have all seen bands that simply mail it in and go through their sets as if they just want it to be over with. The energy and enthusiasm that House of Lairds generated at our reception was simply infectious and you ignited the entire crowd into a wonderful frenzy. The Scots, Brits, Irish, Americans and others in our audience had the best time ever and couldn't tell us enough how much they loved your performance. But in addition to showing us that you are world-class entertainers I was also very touched by your humanity. We are an extremely close family so in all candor it is sometimes difficult for me to have my daughter live across the pond where I don't get to visit with her as often as I can with her two sisters who live in the States. Her favorite song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow because it speaks to her in a very real way. We were disappointed when we learned that the band did not have that song on your playlist because we thought that it would make the Father/Daughter dance so incredibly meaningful. One of the greatest surprises of the night was when we realized that you had taken the time to learn the song and played it for us for our dance. You took the time and effort to really emotionally connect with the bride and her father on her special day and we can't thank you enough for that.

We want to say a huge thank you to the House of Lairds for playing at our wedding! Never before have we heard a band with so much energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to keep the dance floor full all evening. We have had so many positive comments from guests on how much they enjoyed the music and for that we are extremely grateful.

Just a wee email to thank all you guys very much for a wonderful performance on Saturday at the Station Hotel Ellon on our wedding day. We are very grateful for you all playing a part in our very special day. The reports we have received from our guests has been of the highest order. Your assessment and musical choice was second to none the whole evening from start to finish. Once again we cannot express our gratitude enough for a fantastic evening of all tastes of music.

We were very pleased with all aspects of their performance, arriving punctually, setting up unobtrusively & departing without fuss. They accepted any requests, kept the noise level down & were able to cater extremely well for a very wide age range.

The band were absolutely first class and they had the dance floor going all night. They even let one of the guests do her songs during the interval which was amazing too.Would definitely book them again and recommend them to anyone wanting to put on a top party.

Fantastic! The dance floor was full all night and nearly 2 weeks later people are still commenting how brilliant the band were. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with The House of Lairds I am so grateful to them for making our wedding extra perfect!
