Great experience with both Hireaband and the House of Lairds band were excellent at our wedding! Would highly recommend this band if you're looking for a mixture of Ceilidh dancing and the classic hits.

The service from the hireaband staff was excellent. It made the very daunting process of finding a band for our event easy and straightforward. There was no hassles and the staff thought of everything, it allowed us to concentrate on all the other aspects of the event without having to be concerned about the entertainment.

The House of Lairds were exceptional. Absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. They provided the perfect mix of ceilidh and covers music. All the guests have commented on how good the band was. They played a big part in making the wedding reception a fantastically enjoyable night.

The band were absolutely fantastic and really capped the night off beautifully! We had a brilliant night and please forward my thanks and appreciation to all the band! Superb experience!

We honestly couldn’t recommend our wedding band enough! They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and made our wedding night so special. The mix of live band music and ceilidh was brilliant, and they had everyone up dancing and enjoying themselves!
They also took the time to learn both our first dance song and the father-daughter dance song, which meant so much to us. We were so excited to have these songs played live, and they made both moments even more special and memorable.

The House of Lairds was perfect for our big day! Their mix of ceilidh and covers was exactly what we were looking for and the band was able to read the room and keep the dance floor full of our guests.
We had good interactions with Dave the band leader in the lead up to the event.
The band learned our requested first dance song "Just the way you are - Billy Joel" and the excellent performance set the stage for the evening. We liked having the mix of male and female lead vocalist to ensure a good range of covers could be performed. The ceilidh numbers were especially lifted by having the fiddle. The band even brought along a banjo to meet our special request.
Lenny and I would highly recommend this band to anyone wanting to ensure a great party vibe!

House of Lairds were fantastic throughout our event. From the Ceilidh dances to the more modern numbers, they kept the dance floor packed all night long. Great musicianship, great personalities - we couldn't rate them highly enough!

The House of Lairds were amazing and helped us having a roaring time while we celebrated our anniversary. They coached us through the traditional dances and played so many of the great songs we flagged ahead of time. They had a good flow in the set and were just all around great people. Hireaband made it super easy to book and manage.

House of Lairds were absolutey fantastic. They led us through the ceilidh dance moves and knew when to play modern tunes to give people a break from ceilidh dancing. They were super friendly and incredibly musically talented - every one of our guests was astounded. We will absolutely book them again in the future - thank you so much all!

What can I say about this band: incredible! They played a mix of ceilidh and pop/crowd pleaser music. They had a great back catalogue and had people up on the dancefloor all night. They were able to accommodate our first dance choice and had everyone singing along too. Our guests were very happy and we had a mix of people who knew how to ceilidh and who this was their first ceilidh and they talked everyone through the dances. Our guests gave us lots of positive feedback about the band and really enjoyed the mix of ceilidh and pop music.

We were so pleased with the House of Lairds and will make sure we get in touch with them as well to express our gratitude.They were on time, self-sufficient, great entertainers, patient Ceilidh teachers and very good at handling a fall on the dance floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better band. And they are lovely people, too!

I just wanted to take a moment and send you a note of thanks for the performance that House of Lairds turned in on July 1st at our daughter's wedding. We have all seen bands that simply mail it in and go through their sets as if they just want it to be over with. The energy and enthusiasm that House of Lairds generated at our reception was simply infectious and you ignited the entire crowd into a wonderful frenzy. The Scots, Brits, Irish, Americans and others in our audience had the best time ever and couldn't tell us enough how much they loved your performance. But in addition to showing us that you are world-class entertainers I was also very touched by your humanity. We are an extremely close family so in all candor it is sometimes difficult for me to have my daughter live across the pond where I don't get to visit with her as often as I can with her two sisters who live in the States. Her favorite song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow because it speaks to her in a very real way. We were disappointed when we learned that the band did not have that song on your playlist because we thought that it would make the Father/Daughter dance so incredibly meaningful. One of the greatest surprises of the night was when we realized that you had taken the time to learn the song and played it for us for our dance. You took the time and effort to really emotionally connect with the bride and her father on her special day and we can't thank you enough for that.

We want to say a huge thank you to the House of Lairds for playing at our wedding! Never before have we heard a band with so much energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to keep the dance floor full all evening. We have had so many positive comments from guests on how much they enjoyed the music and for that we are extremely grateful.

Just a wee email to thank all you guys very much for a wonderful performance on Saturday at the Station Hotel Ellon on our wedding day. We were very pleased with all aspects of their performance, arriving punctually, setting up unobtrusively & departing without fuss. They accepted any requests, kept the noise level down & were able to cater extremely well for a very wide age range.
