Absolutely the best Ceilidh experience for our wedding we could have dreamed of. They were super open to any requests we had. Having a full time caller was absolutely the best choice for us because our guests were nearly all from outside of Scotland. She was fun and made everyone laugh. The music was fantastic. Our guests were raving about how amazing the whole experience was. Now I want to have another big celebration just to hire them!

We just wanted to say a huge thanks for Friday. You and the band were fantastic and I had a great time dancing along! Many of our guests also commented on how much they enjoyed it too. Will definitely leave a comment and will recommend you to anyone looking for a band. Thanks again.

Thank you again for Thursday, we all enjoyed it and it was a stress-free experience for the teachers as you were all so patient! The kids had a lovely time too.

We have returned to Hong Kong and I would like to thank you for coming and playing for us at Duns Castle on Saturday, the 12th of September. All the guests at my party loved your band, the wonderful Scottish music and the dancing and it was a great way to finish the Saturday's festivities. Hope to meet up again at some stage and good luck for the future.

Many thanks for your performance on Saturday night - you were superb and we had a terrific time. A lot of people came up to me and said how good you were and Linda was blown away. Thanks also to your caller who gave Linda the nod as to whether next one was 'safe' or not! I'm not on Facebook but will happily leave a comment on your web page. Huge thank you back to all the The Unconventionals band, you were absolutely brilliant and helped make the night truly fantastic. The Ceilidh calling was superb too, especially with such a motley bunch of amateurs to wrangle! Dot and I couldn't have asked for more beautiful, fun music and have already put the Vows nomination in! Keeping my fingers crossed we get a perfect excuse to book the band again! Many, many thanks again to everyone.

The Unconventionals played for our wedding in June near Livingston, where most of the guests were not regular ceilidh goers but almost all got up to give it a go! Thanks to the team for the rousing tunes and good calling, which made even the novices feel that they could join in the fun. We loved Auld Lang Syne at the end too - a brilliant end to our special day. The Unconventionals were easy to deal with and professional from the beginning, we would definitely recommend them to others looking for a ceilidh band for their event. We look forward to attending one of their public ceilidhs again soon!

The Unconventionals were extremely professional, friendly and were able to adapt to the demands of a wedding in France. The guests were all raving about the fun they had Ceilidh dancing. Trisha, the caller managed to talk the guests through the steps keeping it as simple as possible. This was appreciated by all the guests including the experienced and novice Ceilidh dancers.

Thank you for the most romantic and Scottish first dance and for your ceilidh. Tricia was great when calling the dances and explaining to us what to do. We all had lots of fun. You also managed to make my dad dance, who usually never does! I was truly amazed to see him on the dance floor. With your wonderful music, you made the evening even more special and you created wonderful memories that we will bring forever in our hearts. I truly wish to meet you again and dance at the rhythm of your wonderful Scottish music. I have purchased your disc on iTunes as I am in love with your songs!

We had The Unconventionals play for our daughter’s wedding at the Ptarmigan, Loch Insh. All of the guests thought the band were fantastic, they played mood music as guests arrived followed by a full-on Ceilidh. The instrumentalist was amazing and the caller was friendly, funny and ensured we had a wonderful ceilidh.

We are so glad we booked with The Unconventionals! They made our evening. The music, dance calling and audience interaction were fantastic. Highly recommend and would gladly book again.
