Wedding Entertainment in Lancashire

Find your wedding entertainment in Lancashire

Most couples haven't settled on a format when they start looking. You might be torn between a band and a DJ, or wondering whether a ceremony singer is worth it on top of the evening act. Across Lancashire, couples browse here first, see which acts they keep coming back to and let the rest take shape around them.

Whether your wedding is near Blackburn, Burnley and Clitheroe or elsewhere in Lancashire, the acts listed here cover the whole area. Local venues include Wyresdale Park Wedding Barns, Stanley House and Mitton Hall. Ask your venue early about its finish time and any sound limiter, as both affect which acts suit it.

Within this category you'll find wedding bands, DJs, solo singers, acoustic duos, string quartets, harpists, magicians and roaming acts. Their pages show exactly what they play, and most will learn a first dance or a special song if you ask.

We've been booking wedding acts since 1999, and every act on this page covers Lancashire. PA, lighting where needed and travel are built into the quote, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

What to know:

  • Budget from £300 for a ceremony musician and £1,200 to £4,000+ for a band
  • Every quote includes travel and any PA or lighting the act needs
  • Many acts will learn a first dance or special song
  • Solo acts and duos can often be booked at shorter notice
  • Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund

A live band gives you a show and an atmosphere a playlist can't match, while a DJ can play any song you like and takes up less space. Many couples book a band for two sets and have the DJ or the band's playlist carry the rest of the night.

Solo acts and duos usually start from around £300, DJs and smaller bands sit in the middle, and a full live band ranges from £1,200 to £4,000 and over. Summer Saturdays are the busiest dates. The price in your quote includes travel, so it won't change once you've booked.

Every act's page has video and audio of the performers who would actually play at your wedding, a full song list and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to judge the style and the atmosphere before you commit.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Wedding Entertainment is the full range — live bands, solo singers, duos, acoustic musicians and more — so you can compare every option in one place rather than committing to one format first.

It varies a lot by format — a solo singer or acoustic duo typically starts from around £300, whereas a live band can be anything from £1,200 all the way to £4,000 and over, depending on line-up size. Travel is always included in every quote.

Yes — solo acts and duos are one of the most popular choices for smaller weddings, ceremonies or where budget or space is limited, and they're booked through the same instant-quote process.

Yes, every act listed here travels to Lancashire as standard, with travel costs already included in the quote you receive.

Many acoustic acts and duos can cover ceremony music as well as an evening set — check each act's own page for what's included, or ask us directly when you enquire.

Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday — earlier is generally safer the bigger the act, since full bands get booked up first.

“We just wanted to drop a quick email to say a massive thank you to you all for making our wedding day so special. It was absolutely perfect for us, and we received so many compliments from our guests on everything. We will share photos of the day in due course with you all, but in the meantime, please accept our heartfelt thanks for everything you have worked so hard on. Love from Mr and Mrs Coutts ❤”

“The Shakers were phenomenal! They had great energy all night and curated the best setlist for our mostly American audience. We were able to pick a short list of songs we especially wanted to hear, and a short list of do-not-play, which made us feel like we had the right amount of input to the big day. We had countless guests shaking their hands and applauding them by the end of the night - the whole group was so talented, we especially loved the saxophone solo in the middle of the dancefloor!”

“The website was easy to navigate with follow up contact from first view til the event. The band were absolutely fabulous! There were people from age seven to into their seventies and they all commented on a great band and a real mix of music to keep everyone on their feet. It was banging! I'd highly recommend them and have already started letting people know where to find them. Thanks so much for making our anniversary party so memorable..”

“The Hartbeats played at our wedding in the evening. They set up quickly and without fuss. They confessed later on that they’d never heard the song we requested for our first dance (by a band called Blind Pilot), however, they played it perfectly and we couldn’t have been happier with it! Guests were dancing and singing all night long to the band, and then to the DJ set afterwards. They played a big part in entertaining our guests in the evening, and we would recommend.”

“Declan was amazing! Reached out before the wedding and discussed the songs and everything was perfect during the ceremony and danced at the drinks reception. Can’t thank him enough for making our day go so effortlessly well!”

“Brightside were amazing! Great communication from beginning to week of our wedding! They arrived before our agreed time and they worked with our catering company in where to set up etc. We asked for live music and DJ in between sets and they did amazing! We have had so many compliments and how good the band were and also passed on the information for recommendations! So glad we picked these guys! Thank you!!!”
